We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. The house itself was beautiful and welcoming, with plenty of room for our family of six. The hosts were so accommodating and went above and beyond to meet our needs. The homemade sponge cake that greeted us was a delicious treat. The location was perfect for exploring the stunning Peak District and there were plenty of nearby walks to enjoy. we had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this place to others.

I keep coming back to my favorite place in Chapel en le Frith. The staff helped me find my forgotten shower bag on my first stay. Carters Cottage has everything I need: Wi-Fi, free parking, electric kettle, and allows pets. See you at Easter!

The location of the cottage was excellent, allowing us to easily explore the beautiful Peak District. the cottage was very clean and spacious, providing ample room for our group. We were pleasantly surprised by the delicious homemade cake and pint of milk that was waiting for us upon arrival.

That there was a noticeable amount of noise from the nearby main road, which could disturb light sleepers. the glazing on the windows did not effectively block out the sound, resulting in early morning wake-ups.

Our stay at Carters Cottage was fantastic value for money - we got more than we expected. The room was spacious, clean, and cozy, making us feel right at home. The location was perfect for exploring the beautiful Peak District and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable.

One possible improvement could be the breakfast selection, which could have been more varied and appealing.

I had a fantastic time staying at this lovely cottage in the Peak District. the location was perfect for exploring all that the area has to offer. the cottage itself was spacious and well-equipped, with thoughtful extras such as a back entrance and a dirty room in the basement for cleaning up after muddy hikes. the two bathrooms had good, warm water, which was a welcome comfort. Parking was convenient and the contact with the owners was excellent. the homemade cake they left for us on arrival was a delightful touch. it was a great base for our adventures in the Peak District. Cons: Nothing, it was perfect! 😊.

The holiday home at Carters Cottage was absolutely amazing! The fully equipped kitchen made it a breeze to whip up some delicious meals. And guess what? There were not one, but two bathrooms! The first bathroom had a bath, perfect for a relaxing soak, while the second one had a shower, great for a quick rinse. I felt like a superstar with all these bathroom options!

Personally, I didn't fancy the second bathroom with just a shower. But hey, that's just my preference, others might love it!

I absolutely loved the charming and cozy decor of Carters Cottage. The beautiful floral wallpaper and the soft, comfortable furniture made me feel right at home. The general areas of the cottage, including the living room and kitchen, were very accessible for senior people like myself. There were no stairs to climb and everything was conveniently located on one level. It made moving around the cottage a breeze!

The only thing I would ask for to make the vacation even better for senior people is a little more assistance from the children working there. It would have been nice to have someone help us with our luggage or offer assistance with any mobility challenges we may have had.
